On Big BRAG, cyclists will average about 55 miles per day for one week. This is great training for riding RAGBRAI in Iowa!

It may sound like a lot of riding, but you're fully supported by accompanying SAG vehicles and frequent, well-stocked rest stops every 12 - 18 miles. Your favorite snacks, drinks, fun activities, and great views are never too far away!

BRAG routes guide bike riders through some of the most friendly and welcoming towns. Plan to take your time along the way to eat some of the best food Georgia has to offer. Whether coming alone or with a group, you'll have an adventure of a lifetime. With at least 1500 participants, you'll definitely make new bike friends at BRAG!

When you pull into camp after your ride, stop by the BRAG Bar to grab a cold beverage, head to the hot showers on site, and then enjoy lunch from one of the food trucks. Each afternoon, we have BRAG-tivities scheduled like bike trivia, one-legged bike races, educational cycling classes, yoga, and massages. Every night we've lined up concerts, DJs, and festivals in each overnight town we stay.

Day 1

Thomaston - June 5 Overnight

On the Way to Thomaston we'll have a rest stop at the Simply Dutch Farm. The farm is a small American Alpine goat dairy in Waverly Hall, Georgia. Here you'll get to try goats milk and artisanal cheeses made on site.

Thomaston offers the comforts of small-town living. While visiting, enjoy some of our rich history such as the PettiGrew-White-Stamps House, one of Thomaston's oldest homes, or the Frances Walker House, an authentic "shotgun" home filled with African-American memorabilia.

Take a walk through the Auchumpkee Creek Covered Bridge, or enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer by canoeing, fishing or hiking at Sprewell Bluff Park located on the Flint River. For a more daring adventure, soar through the air with our local Skydive Atlanta, or visit Gerald I Lawhorn Scouting Base for mountain biking or rock climbing. We hope to see you soon!

Day 2

Perry - June 6 Overnight

On the way to perry, we're stopping at three Farms! Dickey Farms, Lane Southern Orchards, and Pineola Farms. We'll get to sample everything from peach ice cream to pralines!

Perry has a tradition of delivering a warm and gracious welcome to visitors dating back more than a century, all the way back to when the city was a major North - South stagecoach stop.

Perry is home to the award-winning Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter. Downtown Perry is a must see! The renovated downtown area is a charming village with specialty shops and a down-south, restful atmosphere. A perfect place for a stroll; enjoy the year-round flowers with benches and shop windows designed to lure you inside where any shop owner will be glad to tell you the story of Perry's "rebirth." Shopping in historic Downtown Perry is a definite treat for locals and travelers alike.

Day 3

Dublin - June 7 & 8

On the way to Dublin we'll stop at Greene Acres Farm and try peaches, strawberries, blueberries, nuts and various other fruits depending on season/availability.

Dublin stays ahead of the curve with award-winning dining at Deano's Italian, Company Supply, and Holy Smokes, performing arts at Theatre Dublin and rich history with our walking tours. Experience Martin Luther King, Jr.'s first speech at MLK Monument Park & First African Baptist Church. Jesup remains close to its roots and enjoys celebrating its history in a city where it all comes together downtown. Step back in time at one of the state's few Drive-In Movie Theaters. Take a ride on Amtrak or just enjoy train watching from the platform. Experience farm life at Poppell Farms, which is just a short drive from Jesup, or paddle along the Altamaha River. Don't be surprised to see some large catfish during your visit. Jesup is the home of the record flathead catfish.

End of the Road

Brunswick - June 11

Dip your front tire in the Atlantic and you've just covered every inch of the beautiful state of Georgia!

The mainland, port city of Brunswick is laid out in a formal grid similar to Savannah's, with city streets and squares still bearing their colonial names. Explore the historic area, which is enjoying a renaissance and features shops, restaurants and beautiful homes reflecting a variety of styles dating from 1819.

Docked at the wharf, the array of shrimp boats are ready to trawl the local waters -- evidence of the area's rich seafood industry. Try your hand at shrimping aboard the Lady Jane, the only shrimp vessel on the East Coast that has been certified to carry passengers offshore. Sample the catch of the day at one of the fine restaurants.

Mary Ross Waterfront Park and the adjacent Brunswick Landing Marina play host to a variety of festivals and events throughout the year. Some of the annual events include the Brunswick Rockin' Stewbilee, the Rhythm on the River concert series, and the Mayfair, previously known as Blessing of the Fleet.
