April 20, 2019, was a beautiful spring day in coastal Georgia and the day became even more beautiful when the BRAG Dream Teamarrived for a morning training ride in celebration of an annual event, The Gathering, held at Geechee Kunda Museum and Cultural Arts Center in Riceboro Georgia. The BRAG Dream Team is a youth cycling program in Georgia with chapters organized in Atlanta, Dublin, Macon, Madison, Milledgeville, and Geechee Kunda the coastal Georgia unit.
Accompanied by a police escort the BRAG Dream Team were a magnificent picture perfect site in their colorful team jerseys as they rode in single file formation along Highway 17 from Darien, Georgia to Riceboro, Georgia. Was it planned? We’re not saying.
However to honor this year’s 25th Anniversary of the BRAG Dream Team 25 cyclists traveled 25 miles to Geechee Kunda Museum and Cultural Arts Center. After their ride, the BRAG Dream Team enjoyed the Gullah/Geechee festivities of The Gathering. A great ride, a great event, another great day in celebration of 25 years for a youth cycling organization, the BRAG Dream Team.
